September 21 - 26, Brush Creek Campground, Xenia, IL, 62899; Phone: 618/835-4415; Directions: Hwy 50 to Xenia, seven miles south, then two miles east.
October 20 – 31, Camp Sionito, 7754 State Hwy 16N, Bandera, TX 78003; Phone: 830/796-3510; Directions: five miles west of Bandera on Hwy 16.

COMPLETED JOB DESCRIPTIONS
April 17 – 20, RVA RALLY at the Campus RV
Park, Independence, MO. Twenty-seven members from five states attended this event. The Rally evaluations showed 100% interest in another Rally, so plans are already in the works for a Rally during the spring of 2009.
April 21–May 2, Camp Woodland Hills, St. Clair, MO. Fifteen members & five local participants volunteered 590 hours. RV Sites: Removed old timbers that were used on the initial RV Sites to make them level; replaced timbers with large retaining wall landscape blocks; re-leveled each area w/8 loads of rock; graded each site to make ready for RV’s. Men’s & Woman’s Bath Houses: Removed all of the lavatories; took off old formica & replaced it with new; replaced the formica on two long shelves & positioned them higher on the wall for added convenience; installed the lavatories back into the newly covered formica counter tops; replaced some faucets, as needed; installed large stone on exterior of the east & west side of the building to keep the dirt from washing away. Shuffle Board Court: Set forms for pouring the concrete for the shuffleboard court 52’ long & 10’ wide; poured & finished 7 yards of concrete;
removed the forms & placed dirt & gravel, as needed, on all sides. Lodge: Replaced top of serving counter; removed existing door knobs on
Men’s & Women’s restrooms on first level, & replaced them w/push & pull hardware. Misc: Dumped rock on roads around the camp, & graded where needed; grocery shopping; snack & meal preparation & clean-up.
May 5–17, Blue Water Reunion Grounds, Lexington, MI. Twelve members & six local people worked 920 volunteer hours. Tabernacle: Installed knotty pine boards were on rear interior wall. Old Dining Hall: Removed rotten wood one foot from ground all around the exterior of the building, & replaced with treated boards; Removed all exterior doors & widened openings; removed old soffit, some facia, and all window trim. Installed new siding on complete facility, 7 new 36” doors, new door trim, new trim on all windows & corners of building. Replaced all soffit, half of facia, & trimmed doors. Caulked around all windows, doors & soffit; painted complete exterior of building; cleaned up all exterior & interior trash. Restrooms in RV area: Removed all old drop ceiling, & 2 old heating units. Prepared roof to receive new metal roofing, then installed new roofing.
May 19 – 30, Camp Nauvoo, Nauvoo, Illinois.
Ten members volunteered 377 hours. Workshop: Cleaned area around shop & cleaned gutters; Cabins 1 & 2: Built new openings & trimmed them in prep for installing AC units, & installed siding; Cabins 10 & 11: Installed new ¾” plywood flooring & installed new doors, windows & siding; Shed by Lodge: Installed shingles on ½ of roof; Misc: Trimmed trees & picked up limbs, trimmed limbs in north grove, rolled the grounds, straightened sign by fountain & build BBQ pit by lodge.
June 2-14, Joseph Smith Historic Sites, Nauvoo, IL. Eleven members volunteered 472 hours. Atkinson House: Cleaned out gutters & downspouts, sealed siding on south side of house, and painted house & trim; Joseph Smith Homestead: Replaced steps on south side, repaired exterior joist ends, designed & installed new grate for water well, replaced rotten wood on well, applied sand to brick walks, & replaced post on gate; Mansion House: Replaced porch door sill, rebuilt cellar cover, repaired side step; Smith Cemetery: Replaced broken bricks, applied sand to
brick walks, & re-stained benches; Red Brick Store: Replaced rotten trim; Rigdon House: Repaired & painted garage door; First Hotel: Painted cellar doors/covers; Stable: Painted exterior.
